Grrr

Grrr is right. I'm mad at my comment form...again. For some reason it's not letting anyone comment. On any of my blogs. It won't even let ME comment. I tried. Grrr. 

I've emailed ID to ask for help. If they don't get it straightened out, I'm going to remove it. I like it but it's not worth me missing out on comments.

I'm wondering....

I told y'all that I was re-testing the comment form Intense Debate to see if I could get it to work correctly. I really like it except...

Here's the weird part...

It works PERFECTLY on archived posts, showing all the comments and replies but it only shows some of the comments on my most current post and it only shows them some of the time. AND if I go directly to my post (not from my dashboard or from my email) it says I have no comments at all when in reality I have several. 

I'm still trying to figure out why this is doing this and the people at Intense Debate have emailed me so hopefully I'll get it all figured out and working perfectly on all my posts. That would be great because I really do like the comment form much better than Blogger's comment form! Maybe I'll find out at midnight.

Some sleep would be great too...wish me luck on that one :)

I decided to RETRY my Intense Debate comment form here but having the comment form embedded under the posts. Please leave a comment and I will see if it works this way since it did NOT work well the other way. Thanks!

Top commentators widget*

Who leaves you the most comments? Do you want to show them off? The widget I'm going to tell you about today does just that! And the neatest thing to me is when you click on their name it will take you either to their blog (if they're not on Blogger) or to their Blogger profile so it lets other people find them too!

Do you want one? Yay! I knew you would :) Here's what you do:

1. Go here

2. Click on the blue button that says Add To Blogger. More than likely you should click on the first button. The second button is for people who have more than 5000 comments and most of us don't have that many. MOST of us....some of you do :) If you do then lucky you and click on the second button!

3. A window will open. You are going to customize your widget.


     a) Put in what you want the widget title to be. On this blog it says "Those that give me love...Top commentators..."

     b) Put your blog URL where it says "Customize widget"


     c) Choose how many commentators you want to show


     d) Put your name in the spot that says "Filter your name" unless you want your own comments to be counted


4. Click "Customize" at the bottom of that window


5. Click "Add Widget To My Blog". A separate page should open asking if you want to add the page element. Tell it yes.


You can move it where ever you'd like it to be on your page. Be sure to save it when you're done. Now you have a neat little top commentator widget on your blog :)

Failed

Ok, the comment form I tried on my last post failed miserably in my eyes. Half the time it said I had NO comments at all even though it sent me emails saying I had comments. The other half the time it only showed SOME of the comments and not all that I had received. Plus one of my friends said it wouldn't even let her leave comments. SCRATCH! I'm still looking around though :) Let you know what I find ASAP!
